Completed in 1965. This work still hangs on David and Diane's living room wall. The bank manager's wife worked as a nude life drawing model, posing for student's in the old Gordon Head Army Camp huts. David caught her in a back pose in an attempt to capture the subtleness of line so wonderfully handled by the great master Peter Paul Rubens.

David retains a book of collage renderings he did for Larry Bakke in 1963. "Primal Scream on the Contact page is one of these. The idea for "Joy" comes from this book of ideas produced more than 50 years ago. |
